for one reason or another, is exceptional. Of late, the first is Real World
Digital Video by Pete Shaner and Gerald Everett Jones (Peachpit Press,
US$49). These guys are pros who understand that most people make do with what they have and work from there. They include
dozens of trade secrets that will get you awesome results without spending lots
of money or wasting time. The book is written in plain English and set up in the
proper sequence for turning your existing talent into professional results. Each
subject starts with how you get the best results with what you have and
progresses to ways to improve on that, both in planning and as an afterthought.
This book is a real toolbox and a good read. - Dave Horrigan, South
